On Saturday, May 7th, the 148th Kentucky Derby will take place at Churchill Downs. In another tradition not quite as old, Weiss’s Jordi Visser has published his annual paper ahead of the race that dissects the Derby in his highly analytical and data-intensive way. I’ll talk to Jordi about his paper and get his take on how this year’s race is shaping up. So, if you already like the Derby, you’re in for a treat. And if not, I’d urge you to stick around anyway because the thing about the Kentucky Derby is that it’s more than about the Kentucky Derby. Just check disclosures at the end of the episode.
